Invalid License Key

  

Activation of ESET NOD32 Antivirus was not successful. Make sure you have entered the proper License key.To check your license key you entered click recheck the License Key or click purchase a new license and you will be redirected to our webpage where you can buy a new license. This is often the result of trying to install version 6.x with a version 5.x or 4.x license key. On application launch. You may see the following message: This is often the result of Briefcase for Windows or Email Manager for Outlook being unable to correctly read the license key from the registry. There are two ways to resolve this.

This is a very common question, and the answer is usually one of these two scenarios:

1.Did you just install Office from a retail box you just purchased? If so, go to Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features and see if there is another copy of Office installed besides the suite you just installed. Some pre-installed Trial Office 2007 suites can conflict with the product key validation process. If you see a duplicate copy of Office installed, then uninstall it and try to run your new Office program again. Chances are your product key will work now.

2.If you are using the 25-digit product key that you found on a sticker on the bottom of your laptop or on the back of your desktop case, then you are using the wrong key. This key is the product key for the Windows operating system, and NOT for the Office Suite. The correct product key for the Office suite will be in one of these places:

a.Inside the retail Office 2007 box (if you bought Office from a retail store)

b.Inside an e-mail from the online website where you purchased Office

It was working yesterday, this morning I’m getting this error. What happened?

Error warning: “Could not obtain a license for SolidWorks standard. Invalid (inconsistent) license key. (-8, 544, 0)”.

Some users are seeing an issue when starting SOLIDWORKS. This could be caused by 2 issues that we will cover in this article.

  1. SOLIDWORKS License manager has been refreshed, this could happen around the maintenance renewal date.
  2. Your company decided not to pay maintenance.

The SOLIDWORKS CAM Standard license is free to those who pay maintenance annually. SOLIDWORKS calls it a “term license”. If you do not pay maintenance, you will lose the access to SOLIDWORKS CAM.

How to fix this issue:

Network License

  1. Select the Server Administer tab.
  2. Stop the license server.
  3. Select Modify License.
  4. Activate/Reactivate the license.

5. The server should start automatically.
6. Select OK to close the license server.

Standalone License

  1. Open SOLIDWORKS.
  2. Select the Help tab from the upper ribbon.

3. Select Activate license from the pull-down menu.
4. Select all or just SOLIDWORKS CAM.

  1. Open SOLIDWORKS.
  2. Select the Tools tab from the top ribbon.
  3. Select Add-ins from the pull-down.

5. After unchecking the Add-ins for CAM, the notification will stop when starting SOLIDWORKS.
