Dell Monitor 1908fpt Manual
Which is why my niece brought her problem to uncle, her monitor when starting up does the startup just fine and dandy. But after two seconds it literally goes completely black, no faded gray images, just black!
The monitor came with a Dimension E510. I assume it is a typical dell package, it is a 17in. LCD monitor model # 1707FPc
OK so I have so far deduced that it is indeed the monitor and not the energy saving mode from the PC I have tryed out on a different system and it does the no good I have hooked my own monitor to my niece's system and my monitor works good with her system so.. when starting up I have gone into the menu after a hundred restarting of the monitor I seen a factory reset to factory settings not sure whats going on after it is highlighted because of the blacking out I can toggle to it but then black screen kicks in (@%#%@$) motherfu..r is really pissing me off.
Ok there are 5 function button on this monitor left to right, leftside the firt button a box with an arrow pointing into the center of the box, the second button is the menu button, third button is a menus '-' sign, fourth button is a plus '+' button and the last button on the rightside is the on-off button.
After I highlighting the reset factory setting option which button actually enables this function? Because it goes black I do not know if another option or whatever needs to be done it is not on the screen so I'm hoping someone who has had the same problem knows or can help me or someone has the same monitor can they please tell me what comes up and what button actually enables the command to reset.
FYI I have done the disconnect the monitor and turned it on to do a dignostic check AGAIN DID I TELL YOU THE MOTHERF..R goes black after 2 flipping sec. again same problem see it can't react fast enough to see what is actually going on and if I need to do anything else HELP PLEASE!

Cons: it has a bright green line going down the center of screen. obviously they dont test thier products after refurbishment because this is straight out of the box 10 mins ago. after googling I found out its defective. if I pay for something refurbished or not I expect it to work. as far as im concerned ive wasted 56 bucks because id only end up paying more to ship it back and probably receive one of equal to or less quality of this
Pros: Stand works well.
Cons: I was expecting more. It's by far the worst monitor I've owned since the beginning of LCD monitors. Viewing angle is sensitive, brightness is poor dependent on angle, causes eye strain and is, by contrast, far in-superior to the monitor I was going to replace these (I bought two) with.
Overall Review: For me, the quality is too poor for this to be a monitor I can use.
Pros: Shipping turn around was very quick. Ordered it Friday and it was delivered Monday with standard shipping. The monitor stand is desk friendly, easy to adjust and doesn't take up a huge amount of space.
Cons: Just an average work station monitor. Doesn't have the deeper images of backlit monitor. Washed out color. Monitor came with some sticker type adhesive on it which had to be scraped off.
Pros: Monitor looks nice and I am very happy! A little dusty, but otherwise it was in perfect shape.
Cons: Did not come with a USB cable to use monitor USB ports, but I wasn't expecting it to.
Overall Review: We do industrial drawings and it is nice to have a 5:4 monitor for this purpose.
Pros: Adjustable height. Can tilt and swivel. Nice Monitor for $79.

Cons: Refurbished?? It was still dirty. The screen was streaked like someone tried to clean it. Also somebody's chewing gum was stuck to the bottom, probably the refurbisher's! I think a better title would have been 'Used' or 'As Is.'
Overall Review: For the price, I would probably do it again, considering the new ones that replaced this model cost $220 from Dell. As long as you have some Goo-Gone and some electronic 'windex,' you can clean it up yourself.
Pros: Monitor looked almost new and screen color quality was far better and brighter than other refurbished monitors I've purchased. Packaging was good and protected the monitor fine during shipment.
Cons: Picture shows a model with silver accents where this monitor is completely black. The item description states black so the description was not completely inaccurate.
Overall Review: Great option for those who prefer the larger text display size found in a 19' 5:4 monitor and where desk area does not permit the use of several widescreens.
